Hi Marilyn,

The plant in this photo doesn't look like Salvia greggii x blepharophylla 'Cherry Queen' to me. It looks more like microphylla or more likely a microphylla hybrid based on the leaves. I saw Rich recently joined so I'll beckon him for an opinion since this is his cultivar.

P.S. Rich & Kermit, I'm not sure about the other photo for 'Cherry Queen' either so please check that one out, too. It may be too dark to tell. Thanks!

I think I have a photo somewhere of a 'Cherry Queen' flower so I'll try to find that and post it.

I'm going to wait until we hear from Rich and Kermit about the identification, but in the meantime I will correct the entry by removing the species information (greggii). Cherry Queen is a hybrid and shouldn't have a species listed in the title of the entry.

I got that Cherry Queen from Crownsville Nursery that year.

Hmmm, hopefully Rich will check in sometime with an opinion. I imagine he and Kermit are busy with their plants and orders. Smiling
