I don't know if this could be considered art, but the price was right and we decided to have some fun with it. We are going to add some sort of climbing plants to go up the sides and top. There is also a feeder on each side that swings out and is the perfect size for a potted plant.

Kit -

Now I am real excited....I just sent Bob an email last week -- he and I live fairly close so I contacted him and plan a visit in the very near future -- I just love the "streaked" hosta look!!!

Your "Hosta" cage is very cute!! I agree would look wonderful with some climbing plants on it too!

Kit & Gary don't limit themselves to just garden art. They are both very talented artist in their own right. Kit does beautiful stained glass work and Gary does some beautiful woodworking. Trust me, it's fun to know these guys. Smiling It doesn't hurt that they have one of the nicest hosta garden to visit, either. A very calm and relaxing place to be on a hot summer day, or a nice day anytime. Smiling

Not sure what this little trinket is but I found this in the back woods a few years ago... planted a colmbine in it -- needs more sun thought.... maybe a Krossa Regal would look nice in this....

I loved my little granite owl that I bought last year at a local garden center. Someone stole it while I was away at a confernece last week Crying

It was even in a fenced in area! Grumbling

I took all my garden art and moved it to a secure area. I guess I'm kind of lucky that they only took the owl, not the bronze sundial that was a few feet from it. Hubby and I think a drunk person walking home from the bars took it. Amazingly they managed not to crush any of the new new plants though they did step on one of the conifers. One of our neighbors has a very overgrown yard and I told him about the stolen owl. Someone may have thrown it in the bushes somewhere and we may find it when the foliage dies back in winter. The owl weighed about 35 pounds, I cannot imagine anyone carried it very far.

I had about $500 worth of the biggest (and best) cement statues and a couple potted plants taken one year, and they were from various places in my garden, so likely a planned theft. Would have taken 2 people to lift some of the cement.

I keep telling you guys to hot wire your fences. It might not stop them all the time, but you'll hear them scream when they touch it.:) Then you can let loose the dogs on them. Smiling LOL I know, all your dogs would do is lick them to death, but the thief doesn't know that. Smiling
