Right now it is cloudy and 62F. They are calling for a high of 88F. I don't want to play one-upsmanship with Linda anymore. Hilarious!

tarev said:Linda, does the duration of that extreme heat when it comes during the day goes from lunch time forward?? When we get our hot temps the hottest time is around 4pm to 6 pm but as it builds up, ugh...just terrible!

We are expecting a cool down, well, it will be cool for us, high of 93 to 95 vs. 95 and higher..any relief from the extreme heat is always welcome here Rolling my eyes.

Yes, that is what happens here as well. Thumbs down

It was 80 degrees here on the beach when I got up at 7:30. Hurried to get breakfast and out to the front garden (on the south side). It looks awful! We had friends down here for 5 weeks in the house in back of us. Got absolutely nothing done, so now .... have to work in the sun and hate it! I did 1/4 of the bed but the heat was intense even with my Vietnamese hat on so I'll wait until there is some shade and will continue. It's supposed to be 93 here today. In a normal year, we seldom get about 85. Toasty, I tell you! Big Grin

Much nicer today, right now at 91F and there is some delta breeze, helps in keeping the cool down. Our 100F will return next Saturday Rolling my eyes.

Cindy, this is the time of year when a tropical storm doesn't sound bad. They can bring rain and cooler temperatures and wind, but they usually are just big rain storms. When they top 73 mph and have circulation, then you worry if they are headed in your direction. Otherwise, bring it on! I've lived here quite a while and can't afford to increase my blood pressure for no reason.

I just looked at the data on that low pressure system in the gulf. Looks like it going to go north into TX. Too bad. They don't need the rain and at least where I am, we do.

Thanks for the concern Cindy. Arlene stated it pretty well though, we NEED the rain & Texas has already had too much. Frankly I think the track of that system is probably responsible for this awful heat wave we're having as well as the lack of rain.
