Love the roses and iris's...but love the pooches even more!

Love the flowers. Very dreary here The pups are SO CUTE

They are cuties, aren't they? Zuzu (on the right) has an upcoming vet visit she won't like at all. Her teeth are getting bad and I have to see what can be done short of dentures.

Supposed to have heavy rain starting tomorrow and continuing through to Sunday night, then dropping temperatures with highs in the 40s and lows at or below freezing at least Tuesday to Friday. Guess it is time for Winter. If they survive the rain, will be cutting all open or close to open Roses and Iris on Monday to bring in the house. Now if we just have an early Spring.

I bet the vet might do a tooth cleaning and advise you to start brushing their teeth. Yes, I brush Lily's teeth. Never thought I would be brushing a dogs teeth but I gotta do all I can to keep her teeth and gums healthy.

Fortunately it is not difficult to brush a dogs teeth.

Debra - I've had my dog's teeth cleaned, but I don't think they did the job properly, because her teeth are really bad now. In February they offer a tooth cleaning for a discount. My poor dog.

I have to admit i was dumbfounded ,..before i clicked to the larger picture i wondered just why you had a CD stuck on a plant and when i enlarge i was staring at the CD for a spell before i realized it wasn't a plant,..optical illusion or i should water down my Brandy

I have two pinwheels in the yard just for fun. Brandy, hmm? Good thing to have on Christmas Day night.

They are colorful not too sure if it was the Brandy that befuddled me or the computer maintenance,..i did a complete over hall on my Laptop and an old Computer of almost 12 years,..both are zippy now,..not something everyone would decide to do on a Christmas Day,..i had one whiskey today,..Brandy after the maintenance was wise lit the fire seeing it was a dark cold rainy day then fell asleep on the couch,..yippeee sleep at last,..i suspected it was the fumes from the fire as sleep evades me most times but no,..i woke up

Overhaul is good. Windows applied an update this morning that took over two hours to cycle through. Messed up my morning routine and I was a tad bit grumpy for awhile...then the coffee kicked in and everything was better.

Wish you could have slept longer.

Those updates can drive a person mad,..in particular when downloading just as you are shutting down,..i don't trust it to switch off the computer when the download is finished as you get the odd time when it doesn't.

Grumpy,..never imagined you to get grumpy i know i am grumpy when the cats leave the house and Molly withdraws to the bathroom

Trouble with having my wee slumber is i wont be sleepy now,..well its four in the morning here and not a sign of sleep coming my way,..i might try listening to the Badger Song,..it can make one sleepy,..or worse,..drive a person to despair.

Open this morning. Didn't take a lot of photographs except for the Iris. And that one has a bunch.


Cream Veranda. Also known as Garden of Roses and Cream Flower Circus. Small shrub with small flowers sitting at the feet of Just Joey and Opening Night.



Creeping Phlox and Dianthus. Not great images, but there is color!



Easy Does It // Gerbera. These plants give probably the longest lasting flowers in my yard.



Easy Does It // The stalks and stems I cut and brought in last night. Ignore the dried caulk on the table. When the babies were here and learning to walk, we used it to stick plumbing pipe insulation around the perimeter so they wouldn't get hurt. I have a removal kit to take off all the finishes and plan to stain it darker if the kit works. My former father-in-law made the table and gave it to me in 1985. Where I go, it goes.



Lest We Forget. I don't like the open standards, but how can you discard a plant that gives you flowers in December? I did do an okay job of discarding extra images, though.

80 degrees and a cold front coming through. Already have tornado warnings in counties to the east. The way the wind is blowing around here, won't be surprised if we lose power.
