Not an individual shot, we cleaned out and started up the fountain this past weekend. Lots of hostas coming up around it!

Cool fountain Liz. Are you going to put fish in it?

Nope, the fountain needs lots of regular cleaning so fish would not do well with all the water changes. The local birds like to bathe in it!

Here is our 270 gallon front pond that we finished this past weekend. We went to King's Materials and purchased 1,350 pounds of stone. After putting stone around the pond edges I had enough left to put a path through my large hosta bed.

We still need to purchase a few water plants. Andy sunk three potted cannas that are starting to grow. We added a dozen feeder goldfish to keep the mosquitos in check this past weekend. I still need to decide what hostas I'm going to plant around this pond!

Nice job, Elizabeth!! Good thing you got the cute garden boy, Andy to help out.

You guys aren't afraid of hard work, are you? Looks great. Can't wait to see it by the end of May, with plants.

Before I left for work this morning, I could not help taking a few pictures with my phone camera. Andy swears that one day he is going to force me to use a real camera.

Here is 'Foxfire Divine Winds' OS. Honestly, I cannot tell much difference between this plant and 'Golden Meadows'!

'Gunsmoke' is absolutely gorgeous this year. It will get more gray-blue as the season progresses. This is its third year in my garden and it is getting big!

I put a cage around 'Gunther's Prize' because this past weekend a rabbit thought my garden is a buffet. The rabbit did not take a bite out of this plant but it did take big bites out of three other plants.

'Jack of Diamonds' is still unfurling, taking its sweet time.

We had quite the storm systems roll through over the weekend so there is junk from the trees all over the yard. So, if you see spots on some of these plants, it is probably just seeds from the neihbors nasty elm tree

Here is 'Liberty'.

'Orange Marmalade' puts on an amazing spring show.

'Rhino Hide' OS is coming up funny, one leaf on each of the three (maybe there is a fourth) divisions. The leaves are healthy and beautiful, just funny to see a hosta emerge that way!

Here is 'Andrew' starting to unfurl. This is a really pretty hosta with a non-fading center. I've heard that it is a slow grower, but mine multipled from one to three eyes this winter. It was newly planted in my garden in 2009. Very good texture, probably the best of all the white centered plants that I have.

'Mango Tango' looked really tropical this morning!

'Lakeside Mom' also went from one to three eyes and maintained its beautiful even streaking in all three eyes. This is probably the most uniformly colored streaked hosta that I have in my yard. I added 'Lakeside Mom' to my garden in 2009.
