Gary and or Kit, your pictures are never boring. Smiling I need to replace Golden Meadows this year. It's one of the ones I lost due to stupidity on my part. *sigh*

Is H. Dance With Me related to 'Last Dance' - 'Summer Music/Breeze' family? Makes me think of it.

Love the 'Montana Moonshine'.

H. Dance With Me and Last dance are both sports of Summer Music. Dance With Me is the reverse sport of Last Dance. Both hostas came from Hans Hanson/Shady Oaks Nursery. Last Dance was introduced in 1999 and Dance with Me in 2002.

Just gorgeous! Kit and Gary, I potted up your 'Double D Cup' OS last weekend when we had the frost warning. It is looking so great, I hope that it is a good pod parent for you. It seems to set seeds very readily, I wonder what a cross of that with 'Atom Smasher' would produce? Something with deep cups and a wavy edge? That would be amazing, you'll have to share a division Big Grin

Thanks, Gary. I thought maybe that was the case given that both had "dance" in their names and base on the looks. I have 'Last Dance' and have found it to be fertile. Have an interesting MARGINED seedling from it last year.

Last year the rabbits knocked down the flower stalks on Atom Smasher just as they were starting to flower. We were able to save most of them and put them into sugar water toget them to continue to flower. In this way we were able to collect the pollen. So last year we were only able to use Atom Smasher as a pollen donor not a pollen parent. We are looking forward to making crosses like that with A.S. as the pollen parent. Peacock Strut is another that I want to cross with it. Rhino Hide is another one I am really looking forward to using this year also.

I put one too many "sports" in my reply. Dance With Me is the reverse of Last Dance not the reverse sport . My fingers were on a different page from my little brain.

Here is a seedling from last year that we are really excited about. It is a cross between Golden Meadows x Sea Gulf Stream that Kit made last year. Seems to be quite happy so far even though it is very pale.

That seedling is indeed very pretty. Does it darken through the season? I look forward to more pictures as it matures.
