Got this at a swap/trade. Any ideas what it might be? Any ideas what the stippling might be? Should I get rid of it?

We're going to need more info from you, your pic just doesn't show enough...

It looks like a vine with a fuzzy stem and white spots on the leaf...

I was leaning towards smilax but that's not it after looking better

How big is it?
Is it a vine?
What do you see if you dig down at the base?
Does is have any scent? Maybe if you crush some of it.
Is it growing fast?
Where's it located? Sun, shade?
Soil type
Do your best to describe it!
They say a pic is worth a thousand words, but a pic with a few words can tell a whole story!
I'm quite interested to see what that is!
Please tree mail me for trades, I'm ALWAYS actively looking for more new plants, and love to trade!

Can you also show a photo taken from a bit of a distance? It looks like more than one plant growing there and I know you are trying to ID the one in the foreground but it's difficult to get a view of the entire plant. Are the little things at the ends of the fuzzy stem new leaves, or perhaps buds? It's real difficult to see the "stipling" on the leaves but it's more than likely from an insect of some sort. Here's an image of leaf hopper damage:

It's small -- just a few inches long-- and has just emerged from the ground. It's in a shady area. I believe it would most likely be either woodbine or passiflora.
Thanks all and I should probably get the neem oil out!

You can compare it to database photos of Passionflower (Passiflora incarnata) There's one photo of a juvenile plant.

thanks, all. It is mystifying for me, as I planted it believing it was Virgin's Bower, Clematis virginiana Clematis (Clematis virginiana)

But I'm just not sure now that it is emerging!

Don't panic Catmint! Hilarious! It was just a guess, you'll find out for sure when it develops further..I have the plant by the pond, it doesn't behave aggressive but is actually in a heavy competition with other strong ('aggressive') plants..I like its flowers Rolling my eyes.

I got another photo and it's growing quickly now and is definitely a vine, as it is already twining up the metal fence that separates my yard from my neighbor's yard. I think Chameleon plant is not a vine so hopefully I am safe on that count! Whew. Blinking
