Thanks so much everyone! I enjoy sharing the view with others who appreciate them as much as I do!

The Iris seem to like being on the hill - sunshine and drainage and all, but it does make it a bit difficult to get good pictures of the entire garden. I guess I have to invest in one of those little remote controlled flying drone thingys and put a camera in it.

OK Back to grounded individual pics...

I may have put this one up before.
Alpine Butterfly I have had this one in for about three years and this year it really took off!

A couple of unusual ones.....I like weird.

Nigerian Raspberry

Congo Sunset

These are some new ones that I really like.
Carry On

Cowboy Caviar

This has moved to the top of the favorites list...this week.

Wow, what a collection Pam. Thanks for posting that picture. It gives a better understanding of the scope of your garden. I was wondering what the clumps of blue and gold might be. They are really standing out from above.

Thumbs up Really looks great, Pam !! I've thought about one of those 'picture taking drones", too ! It would surely make "bed mapping" an easy chore !

Pam, Great garden and pictures. Nice to know how well those varieties do in a next door state.

Arlyn, interesting idea. I do have a couple quad copters with cameras. DH bought one for "me" for Christmas. Rolling on the floor laughing But that might be a real use.

Thanks Teresa. There is quite a bit more that I couldn't get in the picture as it was blocked by a tree.

The biggest patches of yellow that can be seen are:Temple Gold, Harvest of Memories, Gold Country, Glowing Smile and a very dark gold NOID.

The largest chunks of blue are: Charisma, Sapphire Hills, Kissing Circle - a plicata, Yaquina Blue, Full Tide and Titan's Glory - actually a dark purple that looks blue in the picture.

Beautiful shots.

I think it is interesting how much variation there has been on the band on the falls of Cowboy Caviar in pictures posted this year. They are all the same plant, but some have much wider bands than others.

Pam's is very thin:
then they get wider and wider:

Leslie I agree

This one did seem to change a lot from newly opened buds to older blooms.
This picture was of a just opened bud.

This one is a few days old.
Thumb of 2015-05-28/Snork/070e35

Blooms are from the same plant. Several of the Schreiner's iris that were new intros last year seem to do the fading thing. Downtown Brown would be another example. I wonder if it is something that they are breeding in on purpose, or just a factor of the dark colors of the iris.

Mine were more reddish, whereas Mary Ann's are more brown - which is what I expected the color to be. They do lighten as the bloom ages though.

Cross posted with you Pam!

You raise a good point about if they are going for deliberate color change. I know that they are smitten with Legerdemain which really changes colors as it ages, and they have posted about the change Downtown Brown goes through.

I added Cowboy C. last year when we had the sale. Mine didn't bloom but I am hoping next year that it leans toward the purple shading plus a wide band.
