OMG, I don't know which one strikes me the most, they are fantastic!!! I especially like the one with the white boots, or is it the one with the tipped champagne glass? Hurray! Hurray! You have quite an eye for arrangements and certainly beauties of dahlias.
BTW you got mail.
Steven, that is a pretty one, as for mine a pitiful display this year with the drought and extreme heat, better luck next year.

Relax. It's only a small setback.

Those aren't my arrangements Candee- I just grow the flowers! My favorite was also the ice skates on the mirror. These were done by entrants in the largest of the local dahlia shows put on by the Puget Sound Dahlia Association. It's a total immersion in dahlia viewing to attend: table after table filled with near perfect blooms.

I had no idea, well they certainly do an excellent job with your dahlias! Bravo!

Let me clarify: THEY grow these flowers and display them for competition. I just go to take in the view and spot any new dahlias I want to try.

Our season is pretty much dwindling here after a few days of heavy rain. Still have many decent blooms but too many have rain spots or weaker stems that don't make it worth my time to cut them to sell. This is the fun time I do mass cuttings to take to work, friends, and neighbors who aren't so finicky and are very appreciative.

No doubt in my mind how impressive they are! I bet they are just as stunning if not more so than the ones shown. I like that idea of going to the shows to get new ideas and new varieties. Sorry you had to explain in such detail to this BLONDE Rolling on the floor laughing Now I get it!

LOL if it weren't a BLONDE explaining it in the first place, there would have been no need to clarify. Sorry!

I think that next year I need to find a few more good plants to put in. It seems that I just have the same repetitive flowers springing up all over and then my garden begins and ends all at once instead of a gradual decline when some things are still in bloom. This year again all I have left are a couple roses on one bush and a few zinnias and a few dahlias?
Any thoughts welcome. I would just like more variety and something that blooms most of the season as well.
