We may have to change his handle from Grand Poobah to Grand Pa Pa of irises! Rolling on the floor laughing

You can almost smell the soil and feel it beneath your feet. What a magical place for irises to thrive. I cant wait for photos this winter.

Thanks everybody !!! I am really happy with how the field turned out my dirt is wonderful there it drains even better than what I had before and what has been planted for a while has really taken off the only issue I have had has been battling Deer they come through there a couple nights a week and pull out a few and drop them where ever they want it will stop when there all rooted in also hoping once we get moved out there in the spring it may keep them away.

I have a tree spade coming this week to start moving my bigger Conifers to the new place, I had a Big Cat come in a make a 350ft berm across the front of the property between the ditch and the highway it should give us a really cool look and some instant privacy hoping to plant a big row of Peonies in front of them and then Iris for the convention in 2017 Smiling as always I have lot's of plans but just not enough hours in the day to get it all accomplished. It will be a lot of fun to design a new place but a lot to try to accomplish in a season.

Bonnie.. You are right I am ready to give the shovel a short break this year until about January then I will be stir crazy Big Grin and wanting to play in the dirt again.

Tom... I hope you do visit again with any luck it will be a mild winter and they will settle in nicely, the seedlings put on really good growth it was not fun moving them all some of them had 10 or more increases and didn't bloom hopefully we get good bloom and the clump effect in the spring.

Mary Ann.. You are welcome here anytime you can help me go through the seedlings Smiling in the spring and help pick the winners... but as you know though there are no plans for anything commercially here they are strictly for my own entertainment Big Grin besides there are way too many absolutely gorgeous plants that will be coming out over the next few years from Santa Cruz and Salem and you will have plenty to enjoy I have seen a glimpse of the future and there are lots to Drooling Drooling Drooling over from those guys. With mine I had a lot of pretty faces bloom but very few were the total package at least this year anyway. There were a couple that I thought Lovey dubby but time will tell.

How do you ever keep track of all of them, even to be able to evaluate that many and decide what their fate is can be a big task. It sure is amazing to see that many creations at one time.

What a job you have had. Those seedlings are gorgeous for whatever reason you are growing them. But I wish you would register some as they are beautiful.

Brad - Wow! Those fields! What an amazing amount of work you have done in planting them all. Field Of Dreams isn't just for baseball anymore!!

Love your seedlings. Your favorite is a stunner. Pretty fond of a few others as well. Can't wait for the cold weather to see all the rest of your pictures!

Yes, for formal usage. But Tom, et al, used PuPah so that is what I called it. Like Tom is The Grand Cheese Head. Hilarious!
