I bought mine from here http://www.fluwel.com/ Smiling (They only sell lilies in the spring and only within Europe).
But you can find them here in the US http://www.bdlilies.com/l7011.... (unfortunately at a much higher price).

For those interested in more info, I measured the largest flowers (not on the shown plant) to be around 7 1/2 inches. Plant is 45 inches high. 10 buds on the shown plant, which I thought was excellent for a spring planted bulb, although I got very nicely sized bulbs Smiling Certainly seems very free flowering. Stem strength also is very good (for this year).

Possibly there is some naming confusion regarding this lily. Time will tell, I guess.

Had to buy this one twice to get it right and glad I did. Finally the real Palazzo. Color changes with age and light, sometimes it can be more red, but always a deep color. Full sun all day and some of these flowers have been open for several days in this image, so it holds up well here, but of course we have had moderate temperatures. The vendor I bought from claimed that it needed full sun for best color.

Does anyone have Botrytis problems with 'Purple Life'? Strange, some plants have grown very well, to nearly four feet, but others only one feet. Some have been very sick and some much less so.

I really like the plant, but it definitely needs support in my garden. I wouldn't necessary say that the stems are weak, but the plant has a very leaning habit. As a plus it has the potential to develop a very nice reddish tone to the foliage during a cold spring.

Weak stems on this one as well, but so graceful. Does anyone know if it gets stronger stems with age?

'Pink mist' on its own and in comparison with 'Big Brother' and 'Flavia' so you can see the flower size. Very clear cold pink on this one, which makes you check the white balance an extra time Sticking tongue out . Very floriferous for a flower of this size as well.

Can I make the ugly garden shed disappear with a different shooting angle? Yes I can.
The darkest pink one above is what I bought the first time as 'Palazzo'. Whatever it is, it reaches 7 feet tall in it's second year here.

Such vibrant colors too. They just don't do that here!. Love those pictures.

'Elusive is a really sturdy plant here with a nice strong stem. Sometimes they do take that first year to establish themselves. I bet you'll see improvement in year two.

Thank you Karen and Tracey for your kind words I tip my hat to you.

It's very good to know that there is a good chance for 'Elusive' to toughen up Thumbs up .
Last year all lilies were finished blooming by this time as we had temperatures around 95ºF some days locally here in the forest and over 90 for weeks. Very unusual for us. Every OT bloom was bleached. Some sort of sunshine record as well. This year has been fantastic for color and longevity of flowers and I'm very grateful for that.

What do you base that on, Joe?

According to CPVO:

Pink Mist: Breeder reference: t(oot) 04.31-03769-001, Breeder name: Testcentrum voor Siergewassen B.V.
Tabledance: Breeder reference OT 1020-06, Breeder name: Mak Breeding Rights B.V.

They are indeed different. The big difference I see is in the color of the stigma. Tabledance stigma is green and Pink Mist is a very pretty dark purple that contrasts with the pink color.

I will say a lot of those newer pink OTs have a lot of similarities, like they are all sisters! Who wouldn't be confused

Maybe it could be time zone. They are supposedly from the same pod sister with table dance but Timezone is more up facing. It just looks pretty close to me.

Joe, of course you are entitled to your opinion and I respect that, but first it's one cultivar and then it's another. It just doesn't feel like a 100% well researched claim to me. Like Tracey says, there are many similar cultivars around and it can naturally be confusing to see the difference. I use http://www.cpvo.europa.eu/main... and one have to register to get access to it. All the mentioned cultivars have their own Plant Breeders' Rights status. Not sure why they would have that, if they weren't different? I don't even think it's allowed, but I could be wrong about that?

I'll have to take this from memory as the spring listing from Fluwel, where I got my bulbs from is down, but it was something like this:

Carlos van der Veek got contacted from someone he knows (I think a cut lily grower) that was very enthusiastic about this lily and said something in line with "that a lily with this clear, yet soft pink had never been seen in an OT lily before" He insisted that Carlos should have it in his webshop. After Carlos looked at pictures and consulted the breeder he decided to introduce it in their assortment.

Of course this could just be dismissed as a cute story, but I have my suspicions that Pink Mist is a bit different from your alternatives when viewed in person and grown in the same conditions.

Additionally:

Pink Mist: Up to 230mm wide flowers (as measured in the natural position in my own garden, absolutely no flattening involved).
I don't know about Tabledance, as I have no info but according to RHS Timezone has small flowers, only 100–120mm wide???
VWS flowerbulbs claim budsize to be big for Pink Mist, normal for your alternatives.

From the RHS:
‘Tabledance’ VIII(a/b-c) OT
H: Mak Breeding BV, pre-2008

‘Timezone’ VIII(a/b) OT
Parentage unknown
H: Testcentrum voor Siergewassen BV, pre-2006
N: Testcentrum voor Siergewassen BV, 2006
REG: Testcentrum voor Siergewassen BV, 2008

I wouldn't rule out that the cultivars you mentioned has been used as parent material for Pink Mist Smiling . Time will tell, I guess.

You must have a really nice camera too. Lots of detail in even the numerous lily shots.

Pink is probably my favorite color in lilies. I speak of the pink OT similarities because I bought several pink OTs this year from a vendor and many of them were substituted for others due to crop failure, growing issues etc. I was supposed to get a "this=that list" for who is who now, but as of yet I have not. A lot of what I ended up with looked so similar, but not identical when placed side by side.
