Our bees have been busy for the last month.
Fruit trees are blooming now. Dandelions are blooming. Redbuds will soon bloom so the foraging season is getting ready to go into overdrive here.

I'm not a beekeeper( yet!), but a lot of my friends are. There are three beekeepers in about a mile area around my house. I try to grow lots of plants that both the honeybees and the native bees like. Pics from last year. I am just beginning to see honeybees, they are on my rosemaries. Our redbuds are blooming, too. The wild cherry trees in my backyard should be blooming in a couple of weeks; when that happens there will be a bee orgy going on!

I suck at taking pictures. My husband is great at it but he's usually too busy to rem Beamer t take the camera out to get me pictures of the honeybees working something.

Thank you! People who have never taken pics of bees have no idea how hard it is. I took these with an I Pad. This was in the middle of the summer in 90+ degree heat. My neighbors thought I was crazy, chasing the bees around my yard. The little suckers wouldn't stay still for the shot.
Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow has not yet come. We have only today. Let us begin.
