As the title says. How do I get into trading irises with others. I've been going thru the plant list thing. Marking the wants. I haven't marked the have's yet. How do I check others list of have irises. Do I have to trade ( I don't have any that need divided, did it last year), I may be able to trade seeds. This just seem to be a good way to get more irises to breed with with, and not spending a ton of cash.

Exactly. Just list iris you are looking for. If anyone has it to trade they can contact you. And many of us trade for postage. They send you the rhizome and you send them the money for postage. It is a win win because we all have iris that need thinning or need room for other iris and it is nice to send the iris to people who really want the plant instead of throwing it away.

The main wants are broken colors. Then newer tb's from Blyth, Keppel, mid-America boys, then anything else that catches my eyes. Also tet mtb that I can work with broken colors in mtb's.

Here Corey -- like this:

I want Cold Fusion. If anyone has an extra rhizome, I will trade something that interests you -- or pay postage.

Sometimes people really don't want anything back -- they'll be happy if you pay postage. Sometimes they'll ask you what you're thinning this year.

"Anything that catches my eye" doesn't tell someone what you're looking for. And "tet mtb" probably won't mean anything to most growers -- especially those who are not into hybridizing. "Broken colors" is a good clue -- but names would be better. Smiling

Who DOESNT want Cold Fusion? Hilarious!

Cory, I think the best thing for your situation is to start right here. Post a list of what you'd like and see if anyone has it, has enough to share and is willing to part with some for postage or trade. I started on the threads, looking, commenting, making connections with these awesome people. I have several trades going for things I never thought I could get. And all because I asked. You have some good people here and I've seen some of your crosses(beautiful BTW)and my bet is they'd be willing to add to your endeavors. Thumbs up

I have it on order from Burgard. Couldn't pass that one up!

Cory - I notice that you said you want the newer TB's from Blyth, Keppel and the Blacks. Some of those are still really new for us too and may not have had much time to increase, but do please list specific ones. And which broken color ones you are looking for as well.

Campsharyn, will you take postage instead of trade? Or I'm willing to pay a small handling fee + postage.

I would like: Edith Wolford, final episode, witching
