Karen- there are those of us with really thick hair who can use fats/oils (animal or vegetable) in their hair every day without it ever being greasy. Often if your hair is both thick and curly. I know it's crazy, but true!

I've been making soy candles for years now. Love those natural candles. Actually, Dave is the one who ends up actually making the candles.....he makes the baskets too!

I agree- we're really messing things up by feeding cows cow. These "short cut" practices are biting us in the backside every single time. Thumbs down

Here's what my hair looked like last month. I'm cutting off at least 12" this weekend & dying it back to my normal blah black-brown. I really accidentally fried my hair this past time when I colored it.. instead of using 2oz of developer, I used 4oz. Wondered why my head was burning. Thus the reason for chopping it to shoulder length. True to color. I use Ion Color Brilliance. This is the color I used: http://www.ioncolorbrilliance..... I'll be putting it back to this color: http://www.ioncolorbrilliance.... It's faded quite badly because I've been having to wash it almost daily w/the heat.

Thumb of 2011-08-02/Skiekitty/6bbb00

Thus the need for my "pigfat" conditioner. http://www.matrix.com/products...

Back to badges: Dahlia - you would love it here.. every night is the smell of skunk.. yum yum (*bleh*). Actually, you know, there's times when you wish desperately for a camera, but you don't realize it until like a day later. I have 2 dogs: Sebastian and Waffles (my beloved Wolfgang passed away earlier this year). Sebastian is about 6 years old and Waffles is about 2ish. Waffles is a border collie mix who hasn't a braincell in her head. She's retarded. Anyways, she loves to stand in front of my door and watch the outside when I have the door open but screen door closed. My screen door is stupid: has glass on the bottom half & screen on the top half. She was standing in front of my door a few weeks ago a night.. and then she started to "dance" (bounce gently from front paw to front paw) while whining. Then she'd look back at DH & I and then back to outside. I figured that one of my kitties had gotten out, so I got up to see what the fuss was about. Turned on the porch light and, staring into the door, less than 6" away from the glass was a "black kitty with a white stripe" down it's tail. Took my brain about 30 seconds to register SKUNK!!!!!!!!!!!! and I quickly closed the main door, hollaring to DH close the windows, close the sliding glass door.. skunk skunk skunk skunk!! So perhaps I need a skunk badge too!
Roses are one of my passions! Just opened, my Etsy shop (to fund my rose hobby)! http://www.etsy.com/shop/Tweet...

If anybody wants to and is cutting their long hair, it would be much appreciated if sent to "locks of love" that use the hair to make wigs for cancer patients.
