Now we cannot say that til its over. If we go straight from El Nino to La Nina, Spring could be non-existant.

But thank goodness, at least so far no polar vortex. Yet....2 years ago was horrid.

We got sleet and freezing rain. Snow is much easier

LOL, David -- spring is often nonexistent up here . We had snow cover for about 7 months last year (started pretty early in October), so unless it's still snowing on the 4th of July I'm pretty sure it's going to be shorter this year...

Jennifer, I agree -- sleet and freezing rain is the worst!

We only ended up with about 3 inches of snow, kind of surprisingly; the Weather Channel had us for 5-8" and the "local" TV weather (2 channels, both out of Marquette, not all that helpful for us) were showing 8-12 inches in our area. We won't even need to get then snowblower out this time.

I'm feeling left out...but not out in the cold. There are two air conditioners running and I'm still a bit warm. Send some snow down here!

If I was to turn the air on here I might as well just go outside and cover myself in snow.

If I send snow down there the highways will get shut down because no one knows how to drive in it. I'd hate to disrupt the system there!!

Don't feel bad...along with having to turn on the A/C I was also eaten alive by mosquitoes and gnats today. Sheesh, can't these insects read the calendar? Don't they know it's winter here?

No cold to kill them off. Yup, crazy weather for sure. Hey, I am happy to have the warm weather.

Thanks for reminding me of why I don't mind the cold weather! No wasps, hornets, or yellowjackets! Although I did have to swat a nasty fly in the house earlier today.

All ofTexas took on this storm but not without it's casualties. Now it's up north. Be careful, You Guys!

Yeah Cheryl - a LOT of deaths. We had major flooding in the Southern part of the state and the meeting of the Miss & MO rivers at St. Louis may set a record flood level in the next day or so.

The tornados these past few days was the worst of the year!
