Here's a couple of mine. I love doing combo pots; some turn out well, others not so well. I'm always looking for interesting color and texture combinations.
This is one I had last year, but this year I didn't put sunpatiens in it. The canna blooms a dark orange color.

Possibly my favorite this year. Just the right color and texture combo.

Thumb of 2021-06-07/gardenfish/373d71
Not really a combo, but a grouping of small succulents and a cactus. They've really enjoyed being outside so far.

I have two more combo pots on the carport I need to take pics of. Back later with these pics. 😊

Yes it is! You nailed it. 😁 I was looking at it closely yesterday and found some very small, white blooms. I didn't even know that alternanthera bloomed.

Thanks for the acorn! I picked up the froggie at one of our MG sales. I love frogs and have a large collection of them, but most of them are inside. I would really like to have more to scatter outside around the garden.

Thanks!that was Blaze, a kitten from my outside cat, Harley. She looks just like her mom! Lovey dubby I found her a good home, and Harley has had her little operation. I have kept two of another litter, Gar Gar and Felicia.
Here's Harley.

I mostly don't do combo pots anymore since they are lost on my already too busy garden. But I am considering throwing together a few undersized newly acquired for the season in the hanging baskets that used to have ferns.

I went outside with the intent of taking a pic of another combo pot, but didn't feel like moving it.
Look at this pic really close, see the black dots in it? That's my toad tadpoles in my ditch. 😆

That is so nice to see. We don't have much amphibian life in this town. We just started to have some tree frog sounds in the last couple of years. I grew up on a lake and there were so many species of frogs back then.

I'm hoping for lots of toads! Every time we have a storm and it slows, I run out there to make sure they made it. I'm afraid they will be swept by the current in the ditch down the storm drains. The ditch totally fills up and the water flows very fast. So far they are doing just fine.

Rolling on the floor laughing trying to be! My son is concerned about them, too. He just loves toads. I introduced him to the wonders and the inhabitants of the natural world at an early age. He's comfortable around wild things, but knows all about poisonous snakes and knows to avoid them. He can recognize all the poisonous snakes we have here. When we are at the lake, he can actually spot the cottonmouths in the water better than I can. My poor old eyes! I can't wait to have cataract surgery.
He also knows how to handle all kinds of turtles, and how to treat downed birds or injured birds. He's also fascinated with spiders and preying mantis.

It's hard to see Rhipsalis against a backdrop of "grass" but I think the other plants show up well, Peperomia verticillata, Begonia 'Beefsteak', and Peperomia tricolor. The "pot" is chicken wire lined with window screen.

I moved most of my pots off of my front porch about 3 weeks ago because we were gone for vacation and I put them where they could get rained on. Although we've been home for a week, I haven't put them back yet. They look so happy.
