I think I have shown this one before. The edge has picked up in the warmer weather. Not the best bud count but it got a slow start after our hard winter.

My camera makes the color on this one look better than it is, but it has a big toothy edge.

Ken- that first one is stunning, looks to have a dark, rich color.

Ed- I agree with you, this has been my favorite thread of bloom season. No new surprises for me this year, so it's great to come on here and see everyone else's. Thanks to everybody who has shared their seedlings.

Ken - LA seeds? I remember some crosses of those listed when I started bidding and buying seeds 2 years ago. Both of those are quite nice! It will be interesting to see how those seedling blooms settle with age.

Gerry - That is a neat cross! I love the veins in it!

Fred, Gale - I, too, agree ... the seedling threads are ALWAYS my favorite threads. Since last Fall through this Fall.... will be the first time I've ever acquired named daylilies. And what did I acquire them for? ....... For traits I could use in my hybridizing program! Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing (Though I am sure I will enjoy them for more than just that!)

Cindy - Nothing is blooming currently except Fol De Rol ! It shot up another scape and has 2 blooms waving at me! Siloam Double Classic has a small scape with a couple of buds, but after that, I don't know if my bloom season is over or some are going to produce more scapes and surprise me. No seedling scapes at all now. I have the weather and climate for reblooms, but will any surprise me? We shall see! I am still collecting seeds from ripening pods. It's been a good year! PP x MIB was a LA auction win from Zildjian two years ago. My first auction win.

Thanks Gale, It does have a nice dark, rich color. My point and shoot camera sometimes over exaggerates a bit, sometimes...but not too far off.

Ed - I love and have recently acquired Beautiful Edgings, and that is why I think I like your seedling. It has similar attributes. The color on yours is really pretty and I also like the shape of the bloom. Very different and quite lovely!

Ed......They are all so beautiful. It's hard to pick any favorites. But if I had to pick two, it would be F-48 and H-81. Just exquisite crosses. Thumbs up Thumbs up

Some good news, Ed. I was working in my Memorial Sdlg. Bed and found one of your sdlgs. that I planted last July. Hurray! I dug it up and fertilized the heck out of it, then gently put it back in its hole again along with a huge worm who didn't wish to be disturbed. ('New Tangerine Twist' X 'Wild Child' X 'So Beautiful to Me'). Now I have 2 of these sdlgs growing in 2 different beds.. Made my day!!! Whistling

I don't know what happened to the 'August Seedling' thread so i will post some new sdlgs. here,

Thumb of 2015-08-07/ARoseblush/1843e3

'Sdlg. 'Lavender Hearthrob' X 'Blue Eden'- It took 4 yrs. for this one to bloom. I completely forgot I had this one in my garden except for the fact that its home is just above 'Dovealicious' which I check on often. I must admit I was very surprised to see this bloom.

Sdlg. 'Fantastic Fringe' X 'Fringy' - 3 yr. old sdlg.. that bloomed last year for the 1st time. It is so beautiful, and has such good specs, I moved it to the main garden. 28" Scape, 5.5" Bloom, 24 Buds, 3-way branching. Even in the rain, this sdlg. is spectacular. Great substance on this one.
