I call my flower beds cottage style because there's no rhyme or reason to them...I just plant stuff in the ground.

I think that 'cottage' might refer to all which is planted as well as the way it is planted. Afterall the original 'cottage' gardens had fruit trees as well as veggies & herbs & flowers.

The August flowers are in full swing...Hibiscus, Hydrangeas and Tall Phlox to name a few standouts. Just wanted to add these pics because I was lucky to get these Black Swollowtail shots. They love the Tall Phlox.
