I'm adding fun random gardening tips to the homepage, and I need your help!

For everyone who sends me 5 or more tips, you will get a special "tip" badge- proudly display your contribution to the site by helping Big Grin I'll even do stages- the more tips, the greater your badge/title!

What am I looking for?
~Any garden related tip- from the simple ("Annual means that the plant will only live for one year. Perennial means that the plant will come back year after year"), to the more advanced and plant specific. From seed to clean up.
~I am *not* looking for recommendations at this time. Please don't send those.

How to enter
1. Follow my directions Sticking tongue out
2. Send me a Tree-Mail with the subject : Tips
3. Do NOT send me more than one separate Tree-mail! If you want to add on to your tips, great! Just reply to the same Tree-Mail.
4. I/we withhold the right to not use a tip that you submit. Duplicate entries will count toward your goal, but will only be used once. First come, first served (to the best of my ability).
5. Kindly use correct punctuation and complete sentences whenever possible. Call me lazy, but I don't want to have to redo work that has already been done unless absolutely necessary. Sticking tongue out

Let the fun begin Hurray!

Sheila, how wordy didja get?

I'm afraid I might get too wordy with mine. Wonder if we need to submit one sentence suggestions or limit to a paragraph.

See? I could end up suggesting you must grab a caterpillar by it's forelegs, pull them apart like a wishbone, hold them up to the light of a silver moon, standing on one leg of course, and recite Blue Moon Over Georgia in an effort to get rid of your neighbors fleas. (See how long winded I can get?)

Or Trish, should we just make them one sentence suggestions so you don't have a lot of reading to do? (And please ignore my example above...)

I tried to use the top things I have learned as a gardener. Important things that have saved me trips inside the house and kept me safer. And most were one sentence long.

Which is hard, of course, because I want to tell why each one worked so well for me. Rolling on the floor laughing

Rolling on the floor laughing If you need a smile- find a Shoe post.

I think everyone has limited it to a sentence or two.

Yehh, that's why I like fried chicken feet much better. At least there is more to bite into and you can use the toenails as toothpicks when done.

Glad you bumped this up. I need to make a list of tips when I cool off a bit more. 100ยบ here at the moment. How you ever delivered mail in this weather I'll never know. Course now, I could handle the rain, snow, sleet and hail...wonder why "excessive heat" was never entered into that mailman's creed?

Yeah I have delivered mail in heat like this. It was quite a few years ago and I was MUCH younger then though. I think it's worse than carrying mail in the winter. You can always put on more clothes but you're kind of bound to how many you can take off when its this hot!!!
