Years ago my mother used to say to me, she'd say, "In this world, Elwood, you must be" - she always called me Elwood - "In this world, Elwood, you must be oh so smart or oh so pleasant." Well, for years I was smart. I recommend pleasant. You may quote me.

Don't throw away your old bamboo rake. The tines can be re-purposed as plant supports or cut up with a wire cutter as bulb markers or plant labels.

Dave/Trish, I noticed when doing a Memberlist by location search a few members in MA did not show up. Both list MA as location, either by town or Western MA.

Trish - I notice in the new layout we have a big BLANK space - is this to be used for the TIPS? (hint, hint)

We don't yet know where the tips will go. The blank space will differ depending on how much you have on your own homepage.

If you are watching only one forum and have no new tree mails or watched threads, then it'll have a lot of whitespace on the left. If the opposite is true, the whitespace will be on the right.

I'm looking into ways of making this presentation better.

I'm a righty (big surprise snort). I like how the articles are now at the top for easypeasy reading. I've got the hiccups today though. I jump to 'first unread', then jump somewhere else and then jump back. Anyone else doing that?

For our friend, Shoe. Lover of wildlife (Black bear badge) Enjoys or suffers cold winters Birds Permaculture Container Gardener
Dahlianut, threads that have lots of pics seem to do that for me, too. Sort of an up and down, then back up, then back to the latest post. I guess all those pics take up loading time.

Shoe (not always pleased when there are more than one or two pics per post but since I'm a wee faster than my old dial-up I can deal with it!)
