Maybe time for a trough instead of a pot.

Do you have time/space to cut, group, and plant, then wait for them to root before passing it on?

If not, maybe get it all set and send it off with a care sheet.

I know lots of friends who would love to get a little challenge and learning experience from that, sure you do too (unless you've already saturated them with plants).

I think you'd enjoy letting them grow like this till fall, or next spring, THEN uprighting the bottoms, so next year they correct the curve and have a nice kink. Then pot together? But that's so 'big box'. I know you'll be tempted all kinds of ways with these. Each kinky yucca will be a great focal point for, oh, say, a combo planter...

Thank you for the interesting suggestions! Whatever happens, it won't be until it cools off, months from now. Plenty of time to contemplate. There's not much I'm willing to do with plants except water them and try to remember to look at them when I run by, when it's 100°. Usually I'm complaining about 95° but we have some bonus degrees lately. (But wait - there's more! LOL!)

I spent the last hour last night at work watering and arranging plants...and completely forgot to place a $9,000 order with a noon today cut-off (day off, so I submit it ahead of time).

I already tweaked everything I wanted to order, just never built and sent it, thankfully our rep called and the other managers dealt with it.

Lesson learned, plants can wait.

Not at all. We always appreciate it.

The stem to the left was purposely stuck in the pot at that angle and, as expected, the new growth went upright.


It's time to get the stems going the other way, for a cool zig-zag. Snip.


Then stuck back in, upside-down so the new growth will have to turn to go back upright.
