I took on a full grown cayuga duck from the neighbor and have put him in with my chickens. I've given him a kiddie pool for water and am just feeding him chicken scratch and pellets (non-medicated). Plan to leave him penned up for a week or longer before I turn him loose to forage. So far, he's a bit of a bully toward the chickens and isn't too interested in the slugs I've tossed over the fence. Hmmm. Hopefully he'll settle in.
I want to live in a world where the chicken can cross the road without its motives being questioned.
