They love to play in the mud!

I am planning to sell most of them as they are kind of rare. They bring about $20. each. A couple will end up in the freezer.

I took on a full grown cayuga duck from the neighbor and have put him in with my chickens. I've given him a kiddie pool for water and am just feeding him chicken scratch and pellets (non-medicated). Plan to leave him penned up for a week or longer before I turn him loose to forage. So far, he's a bit of a bully toward the chickens and isn't too interested in the slugs I've tossed over the fence. Hmmm. Hopefully he'll settle in.

I want to live in a world where the chicken can cross the road without its motives being questioned.

Exactly my thoughts! So far, he's just not real interested in the ones I toss over. Maybe the hunt is part of the attraction? I've been flabbergasted.

Well, the ducks are adults now. Boy that went fast, now I need to find new homes for some of them. We've had lots of rain lately, so things are muddy.
