Maybe this will be the inspiration I need to get started on my mosaic bowling ball. I followed the threads on DG with every intention to make one but then couldn't find a bowling ball. Barb (DaylilyDiva) was so sweet, she had several and gave me one this spring and it's still waiting in my workshop. I just can't figure out what design I want to use for it!

I have a couple small wooden balls too just no idea where they are. A lot of times I go through some stash and have found things I forgot I had. I know I saw that balls a while back, not to start my search.

first one will be using the basketball idea, i think. that would work for soccer balls, too. and i bet my sister can find one or two in her yard. if the dog didn't eat them all.

Can you drill a hole in a bowling bowl??? I need some extas cause I have the ball on a stand but want to add legs to it.

Charleen, I googled your question and the answer was that if it's something for the garden yes, you can.

Another post said they are fragile and can split in two so be careful.
