I used to grow the regual large gladiolas and I did so love the colors but like everyone elses they usually flopped over. I didn't like that. Once I discovered the Glamini Glads I never grew the tall ones again. They are just much easier to deal with and very little flopping as they usually stand up just fine. They come in all sorts of increadable colors just like the standard glads do. I just love them.
Breck's has them for spring shipment @ about .50 to 1.00 each, depending upon sale prices. Generally, they give a discount of $25 for $50 or more ordered. Brecks usually have been first quality for me but their shipping dates are erratic.
Someone said they will rebloom after cutting back after first bloom.
Twiggi was cut and sent and planted. I doubt it will rebloom here.My other rebloomer is 3 years old and never has.
I understand you need to fertilize rebloomers after they've bloomed in the spring in order to get rebloom, although there are some that are vigorous enough to rebloom without fertilizing. I have fall/winter rebloomers, and when I do my fall fertilizing in October it triggers them to rebloom anywhere from late November through February. Love it!
