I got Gudrid from Teresa, bluegrassmom, in 2015 after reading the reviews here. So much good about this plant, but the best is the
fragrance! I can smell it from 10 feet away. It does need a lot of space because it has multiplied very well and has a sprawling tendency with some of the scapes arching and a few almost laying over. If I didn't have a shrub next to it, it would sprawl even more. I am a strong proponent of strong scapes, but I can forgive this one not being so strong with a fragrance like that.
It blooms from the end of June and on into the first week of August here. I don't have any records of branching and bud count, but it is easily 4 to 5-way branching and 20 buds or more on average. Last year, this scape bloomed into the second week of August (8/11/2022) with its bud-building capability.
A dry scape from 2021 showing branching.
June 27, 2022 - so many buds ready to bloom and smell!
July 2, 2021 - The arching branches take up a lot of space.
July 12, 2022 - another year.
July 19, 2018, 6am - It is definitely an early morning opener (EMO).

I don't recall noticing the foliage as being a deep blue-green, but here are a few garden shots showing Gudrid with other daylilies to show different foliage.

June 29, 2021 - Gudrid is peeking in from the right. Most of this picture shows Zelazny. I really don't see much difference in the foliage.
April 4, 2023 - my curiosity got the best of me, so I just went out to take pictures of just the foliage. I guess Gudrid does have a blue-green appearance, but I wouldn't say it was very pronounced. I've got a red arrow over the Gudrid clump.
