The rain has quit for the night. 6.3 inches...not bad for a Tuesday. Forcast for tomorrow, 80% chance of rain. If it wasn't so hot, I'd put in a rice garden.

Its weird reading what people in other counties weather is. Its winter here, even though it doesn't get that cold here (not like you's get) its still cool, we haven't had rain for ages, very dry. I can't remember having to water my orchids so much as it usually rains and does it for me. My George king x duboisa just opened but my cameras flat, just charging it and i'll show you. its a white flower. Anyone heard of Duboisa? I don't know it. Paph leeanums just about had it but insigne and villosum are still going strong. pics soon...

Hilarious! Bree, It's not too different for me. The west coast is like a different continent from the east coast of the US

The temperature in Iceland was somewhere between 50 and 60 degr F, normally ( we were lucky!) changing rapidly in Reykjavik from sun to black clouds and rain and back to sunshine, the North of Iceland was a bit more steadily sunny and pleasantly cool. Greenland was sunny and fairly chilly, temps in the morning were about 40 degr F.
Coming home to buckets of rain, I want to look at my Orchids a little closer but that has to wait now.

We had plenty of rain yesterday and more coming, so Yippee!
Planting daylilies in new beds today. Alot cooler now in low 80's and cooler all week.

Low 90s here since May and no change in sight. We always hope for a stray shower to cool things off.

I went to what they call the "Bromiliad Bonanza" at the USF Botanical Gardens last weekend and came home with these beauties. If anyone wants to know the specific names, I have them.

Thanks. I'm kind of partial to the first one. I spotted it when I first entered the sale area.

Wish I had more room for some nice Bromeliads. Showy plants!
