18 yr old in my subtropical garden!
I have had buds on my SPACECOAST RUFFLES since Feb. They r now colouring up. The rust on it varies in my garden. It is such a classy bloom I don't think I can bin it, unless maybe it gets rust up the scape.

Some plants have little or no rust but others have fresh ure'spores on new leaves. I am hoping to relocate all my rusters to a bed distant from the others. It will have to be nicely dug and manured so it will take a while to do. Then I will give the rusters some TLC before removing all green bits and transplanting them. So I can see if they need degreening again I will not plant other stuff between them as I do with my others. If they don't survive all that I won't replace them.

That organic spray sounds interesting. I wonder how it works. Maybe it is another fungus/mycorrhizae ???

This was the plant and book sale we ran last Sunday to raise funds for the Macleay Island's community library. It was successful and good fun. All my daylilies sold too.

SPACECOAST RUFFLES doubled up for June. I nearly forgot to photograph the bloom until night came with the memory.

Love the form of your SR Glen. Mine has never shown anything but single blooms of great substance and colour. But yet another reason to not bin SR. Mine is still sitting there with fat buds that are coloured on the outside. The changes in weather viz. dry to rain seem to propel poly=petalling.

I have 4 seedlings of SEDUCTOR that are growing well. Thought they would succumb to rust but they look free of it now??? It is still mostly very warm here. 2 days back a vehicle stopped up the road and drove n the other side. I went up with the dogs and saw a python almost 2 metres long crossing the road. Have to be always aware of snakes here so a good reminder.

Just glad it is only for a day or two. We needed the rain but not the wind. I recall in Sydney years ago we often had a week of heavy rain at the end of summer. Once 10 days, and everything smelled of mould.

I thought of you Glen on the island. Not much protection I guess unless there r wind break plantings. Vive le bamboo. We had a wattle branch snap off. A few pots are over on their sides but all OK thanks. The weeds will grow like crazy now, but it will be great to be able to dig more easily at last.

I haven't looked at the garden yet this morning. I dread looking at the seedlings I have planted. And with the trouble I have had with the White Cockatoos over the last week. They have destroyed 13 seedlings and one clump. I have now put chicken wire over the beds but one went under and got three more.
