I was under the impression Bolting was any extreeme change.We have a "Weeping Cherry" When it bloomed only 10% of it was weeping the rest was the cherry tree it was grafted to.
DD said "Its bolted at the graft,and grown out from the graft tree"
I have heard the term "blasted" used to describe orchids that are going past fresh bloom into decline.
I am far from an expert in plant and garden terms.I know just enough to impress people then they leave me alone.
My knowlege is spotty ,I guess you would say.

Your Octomom Fata Morgana is going to be something when it blooms. You may need to stake it if it gets to heavy. Be sure to show us photos when it's fully opened.

I just risked lifae and limb to get this pic.It will be weeks before this is fully opened.
Asked DD what fasciated means.She said meutant sp. She has had some botony.She said the Hyiasenths sometimes do that too.

Nice photo. You can really see the flattened stem. If you google fasciated lilies you will see some photo of what yours may end up looking like.

Isn't it funny what we will do to get a photo. I was out climbing around on a chair a few days ago with muddy clogs and almost slipped off. I've just stopped worring about what my neighbors must think I'm doing with all the climbing and crawling around I do.

Not sure how I missed the fact that both stems of my Red Hot are fasciated this year.

Lily Von Shtupp is slightly fasciated. These usually lean toward the narrow side but LVS is going to the wide side.
