The latest on mt fasciated Fata.
Its getting harder to get in there for pix.
There are over 24 buds.

Fata looks like the buds are spaced fairly well. My Cecil is trying, but all the buds are so near the top, it's hard for them to open. Hail twice in 24 hours hasn't helped either.

Went out yesterday afternoon and took pics, now I hate to even go out and look after 4" of rain and hail. At least we didn't get the baseball-size hail that some folks in town got.

My poor Cecil split all over and I ended up with only 10 buds.

OMG

This rain, wind and hail are getting boring. Really would like to do some digging, but just not up to sliding around in the mud. Will get another photo of Cecil if it's dry enough in the morning.

Almost puts you on the verge of tears, doesn't it? Sunday's dose was 4" in 12 hours and lots of hail.

And from the opposite side. The hail broke off a few petals, but not looking bad considering. I haven't even needed to stake it.

Beautiful! Don't get hurt trying to get photos. Of course, I guess there are worse ways to go. Anyway we appreciate your efforts. It's nice that the buds were well enough spaced that they could open fully. Great color of yellow too.

The 2 fasciated Red Hots are starting to open. They both aborted a number of buds during the dry week we had here, but still are going to have a lot of blooms. The front one I had counted almost 50 on before some of the small ones fell off.

I lost a few buds on mine too. Who'd have thought that would happen after all the rain in June? DH and I now wish we had kept better track of it, but we figure it was about 12".

Just amazing,cant wait for the whole show.
