The great thing about grasses is that they hide the stems - they just blend in. My only problem was that I had one grass, Morning Light, that was slicing my lilies. So I kept moving the lilies forward until it occurred to me, just this year, to trim the offending grasses. Worked like a charm.

Those grasses can be so sharp. I think Morning Light is an especially lethal one.

It's not often that I post more than one picture of a lily, but 'Pink Jazz' is my favorite lily of all. There's something very special about it. I adore this towering, graceful lily.

It is bred by Dick Bazett and I have told him how happy I am to have it. I love it more every year!
