Jo Ann, red wing black birds and grackles are all over the place here.

Neal, wow, up to your knees. I hope nothing happens to them!

Moby, same story here. I hope we are going to warm up.

Anthony, your weather sounds so nice!!

These are more no ID's from my friend. I call the first blue one ''Bluebeard''

The next two are Pallidas. One has small blooms and the other large blooms. Both smell of grape Koolaid.

I took a cruise around the property (except where the snow still covers ,against the house, shaded) and didnt see one lily. The really early Asiatics are still going thru the snow.

Jo Ann, when I get my gardens in order, I am going to concentrate on the earlier blooming plants. I am so enjoying all the pictures of the little iris, sigh...

Ooooh, that sounds wonderful! I hope to be stunned by your's and mine!

I have no lilies and see where one, huge bulb, is on top of the ground and the rabbit nibbled into it. It's not a Madonna, but I'll be danged if it didn't push itself to the top. It's funny tho. I fliched two tiny bulbs because they were sitting on top of the dirt then. I really need to figure this Lily out. It's the one we decided was close enough to ''Royal Sunset'' that I named it that. I sure don't want to lose it. I wanted to move it.

I was so busy putting together a summer garden. I drew breath and realized I had next to nothing for spring when I really need great visuals thru the snow.

Hellebores are wonderful for that early spring show as are the snowdrops. It continually amazes me, how anything at all can get a signal to grow when it is 20 and 30 degrees, but they do and they are! Love that!

Jo Ann, that's my problem. No Spring color and it's all my own fault!

Tracey, I'm loving both those flowers as people post pictures of theirs.

Thanks for the encouraging pictures. Our weather is starting to straighten out here, but it's been below average.

Whew, I lost this thread for a while. I was afraid I was going to be a whole thread behind.

My lilies are poking out of the ground now. I'm anxious to see how the potful I transplanted is going to do. When I dumped them out last fall, 5 bulbs were hopelessly root entangled. Rather than kill anything, I planted them as was and hope to be able to dig and divide them this fall. I will never again leave Trumpet Lilies in a pot for two years!!

dont worry too much about those bottom roots,..,they forgive rough treatment,.just rattle them around as if you are tossing spagetti, and they soon become 'untangled' Rolling my eyes. Rolling my eyes.
