Nice to see you Moby! And what beautiful additions you have all made while I have been cleaning up the Christmas Mess.

I'll add some perfume from my garden...if only Cubits had a scratch and sniff feature for lilies!

If we had scratch-n-sniff, would we sit around pouting and have winter threads like this?? I think not. Hilarious!
It's hard to look at pics of orientals and not be able to sniff 'em. Boo hoo

What else can you say about Stunning besides.... stunning!

For those of you getting hammered by snow, I envy you. We have none, and with 3 days in the 40°'s, I worry about the garden. Here's a martie with some Spring rain ~

This was my last lily of the season in 2009 as evidenced by the leaves staring to fall on the deck. Pic taken Sept. 10.

Digging DEEP into my old photos and this is one I no longer have, an Oriental bulb from the Silver Elegance strain acquired from the PNWLS.

The delicate spotting on that one is quite striking. There are so many lilies to love, aren't there?

Due to the snow I had spare time so I am reading all the post and enveying all the flowers, I just started with Lilies last year and must say I am surprised that the ones I planted at the end of summer, are still green, I just see them when the snow melts ( about 2") so at least I have hope they will survive the winter. This is the one that got me started and I do not know the name.

What a pretty daylily you have there, Doris. I love the frilly edges. Around here, many of my daylilies stay green all winter (we seldom have snow). Some that are supposed to go dormant will grow a bit during the winter, even if the foliage has died back. They are very hardy, almost impossible to kill.

Doris, that is fine. When spring comes they should put on new green growth, then of course blooms.

For my lily of the day, here is one of my favorites, an Ed McRae seedling.

It is a nice color. I think it should be a bit more red. My camera makes it look a bit pink but I don't think it is at all pinkish. I'll post again come summer!
