Great pics, everyone!

Tracey, I don't think that is the yellow L. hansonii. WAAAAAY too many flowers per stalk, hansonii doesn't recurve that strongly, and do I detect some pink overtones (of which hansonii has none)?

Looks like Mrs. R. O. Backhouse, perhaps. I have 25 buds on one of mine right now. This pic from a previous year:

It was purchased as L. hansonii, but we all know how that goes at times. Judging by the photos I scoured over the internet from various sources, you may be right Lefty. And by the looks of things, I like whatever it is I have, much preferred to the canary yellow shown in L. hansonii. So I guess some mistakes can be good, like in this case. Seriously though, it still wins the prize for the worst looking bulb I have ever received from any source. You may recall I almost composted it!

The biggest bulb mistake for me was an order with Brent and Beck. They send 5 at a time. I ordered Lady Alice and I only wanted 1 bulb but no one else carried that bulb in my amature search so I got 5.
It turne out to be Species Regal and a handsome row of lilies to be sure.
They made good on the mistake. Thats why some online sites are better than others.

I don't get upset anymore at all when I get a wrongly named lily. Happens a lot in the lily world. So, I just get the one I want elsewhere. Brent And Becky are good about replacing. Actually they're a great company, but they're not lily growers, so I expect to get some wrongly named ones. They're usually very pretty anyway, and Jenna steals them for her garden.

Jack, those are absolutely beautiful! I wonder why they named that one Ebony?

I always seem to have webs in my marties.
Where are we going, and why am I in this hand-basket?
