Tip for the Artistically Challenged: Do NOT use straight pins in cloth when working outside. They have squat pin power in windy conditions. This is VERY important if you are making a scarecrow cuz your Ichabod Crane can turn into the Headless Horseman. O bother Rolling my eyes. I'm thinkin the trusty staple gun is the answer Thumbs up (more dos/don'ts on the trusty staple gun later Smiling )

I have this neat staple gun, loaned it to DH and never saw it again. Now he wants to use it and can't find it. I'm not the only one around here who loses things.

I guess I shouldn't loan out MY things unless they return them immediately back to me. Can you teach old dogs new tricks? Rolling on the floor laughing

Not likely, Pegi....
It's been a long time since I even tried to learn a new trick, or teach one either.

Maybe for something but it doesn't pull me up after I've been scrunched down in a heap pulling weeds, or when I try to climb out of bed every morning and not a single muscle cooperates.

Hi all artistically challenged dear ones. I've been out of sorts but I'm pretty sure I will get sorted out and about soon. I do have a few new challenges to discuss:

1) what to do when you make a giant cookie thing when you are acutally trying to make a dough for permanent Christmasy ornaments; I call it 'What to Do When the Receipe Runs Amuk' ps this could also be good for a cooking forum too (just saying)
2) another Horror of Glue story (big surprise Sticking tongue out )
3) testing water colour blends on a board aka know your colour chart or you just get really ugly brown colours (o ya Boo and Shar and other paintfully peoples, all I got to say is DUH! :blushing:)

Miss you all/y'all Group hug

Dahlia! I missed your happy words. It's so good to see you again.

When you get ready to discuss your run amuk topics, I don't talk about recipes since I hardly ever eat and I don't talk about glue lest I get all tangled up in it but I'll be really happy to tell you why you ended up with brown.

Just when ever you want to discuss.

Dahlia, I can sure relate to your "colors" comment! I am currently attempting to make necklaces out of beautiful bakelite dominos. I want to use my ink pads to color them. However, I am finding that the ink does not dry on bakelite unless you heat it up. Even then...... Then I end up smudging the colors and end up with icky looking dominos! Crafting is not always fun and easy!!! Sad
