This old retired art teacher decided to clean out her art studio today. Seven large trash bags later and I'm still not finished. OH But.... I saved stuff for the Round Robin thingy for next time. Hopefully I can remember where I stashed it.

My trash people are going to love the next pickup.

Sounds like it would be good for the trash persons too! Imagine finding all the treasures Sharon tossed. HMmmm, Their goes my imagination again............Art trash could be left over stained glass and it I found it I would probably "P" my pants from excitement! *Blush* Anyway, just the anticipation of finding the gold makes the search worthwhile.

I'm embarrassed to tell you what I tossed.
Dried tubes of oil paint that I probably had since college. I know that because right after college tubed acrylics hit the market and I pretty much never went back to doing much with oils. So dried tubes of oils which included old linseed oil, old yucky oil palettes, tons of dried brushes, papers, old half done but rejected paintings, magazines, that kind of thing, nothing anybody could use.

Scraps of canvas, dried gesso, pressed board that was warped. Just stuff. Trash. Big stuff. But there's enough left so no worries. I had a closet full of stacked canvases and stretcher boards that needed going through. Anyway, it's all done.

Actually I don't have a lot of craft things except glues and tiles. I've done stained glass but used all the glass so there are no scraps or I would have saved it. I did dig out all my Fimo though, and all the millefiori beads I've done with it.

I do bookbinding though, so kept all those materials, mostly papers and threads.

Great job on the clean out, Sharon! Those kind of jobs are hard to start, but it's so nice when you're done! Bet you're loving your craft area now!

Rats. I think I threw away all my pipe cleaners, I had packages and packages of them. I was going to send them to Dahlia. They don't require glue.
Oh shoot. I refuse to go through those trash bags. No. Nada. I will not.

If I had a couple bags I would go through them, but think 7 is way too many. Hilarious!
In fact, I should get some bags ready to fill with stuff I don't need or use and that includes a lot of other clutter.

When I moved, I opened up the huge garbage container that they pick up and just started tossing! It became a basketball game kinda as I crumpled and tossed!

The neighbor kids came after school everyday to sort through a pile I had for them. But I tossed many, many ,MANY years of art junk that was not useful anymore plus papers galore.

It's nice, isn't it Sharon, to be clutter free? Big Grin

Well, it's my studio that's clutter free.
I can't speak for the 4th bedroom, the attic or the garage.
Or my kitchen cabinets that I can't reach so I have no clue what's up there.

But I do love my studio and the rest of the house.
