signet said:Hi , I am brand new member to All things Plants. Gave up on Gardenweb ....it is just dead there ever since Houzz took over .
Well here in south western Ontario we are about as dry as California at this point . working on our 3rd month no rain and none in sight for the next week anyway. Gardens look dreadful and I am cutting everything back to 6 inches .....no point the plants trying to keep dead foliage alive ....... I feel like I live in the armpit of Canada. Way too much rain this spring made a sludgy muddy clay mess .......and now when we could use some .....there is nothing . Ground is as dry as the Sahara and digging in it is like digging in cement . Cracks in the ground are so big you can lose your foot in them . I would move in a heartbeat if it were possible.

NewyorkRita, I wondered where you had gone ......used to lurk mostly on daylily forum on GW and read your posts all the time . Nice to have found you.
mcash70 said:Signet, we are at an altitude of 3500 feet, that's why it is so cold. Last night it was -2c/30f degrees, today is sunny, expected high 14c/58f.
There will be an eclipse of the moon tonight, 7:11PM my time.
