Thanks, Vicki. As soon as I can get the glass removed so I can actually lift and move them (they are heavy right now!), I want to make them into plant "walls" or I guess that would be plant "doors". Attach something to hold soil, etc. and plant them. One would think I might complete that project before taking on the baker's rack but creativity knows no order. Big Grin

Fell asleep at 8:30 last night and I was awakened at 1:30 so I just got up. Not enough sleep but too much to go back to sleep. Gave up. Shrug!

I've decided sleep is highly overrated, but I think I might go ahead and try it anyway.

Just don't go out and work on that treasure in the dark.

Hi everyone. Just stopping by for a sec. I went to the Dollar Store and discovered they have reduced all of the summer nick nacs . I will take photos later today and post. I found gnomes and mushrooms, and all kinds of little stuff I don't need. Whistling

I found a listing on Craig's List under the Free section. Bag of broken tiles for free. So, yesterday my brother and I drove down to St. Pete to the Treasures Of Morrocco store. We filled two plastic grocery bags full of very colorful broken plates and bowls (not exactly tiles) that I will further break down to use as mosaics in stepping stones. I love a bargain.....but I love FREE better!!! Hilarious!

Hurray! Yes, indeed, Sally! Hurray! We're having our half-bath remodeled and I've saved some of both colors of the old lavender and black tiles. I wish I could reuse it all but I'm limited as to storage ... and help.

Enabler -- I wish I could store them all or give some to ya'll. Sad I do seem to have gotten the workmen trained to ask me about everything. They asked about the porcelain ends of the old towel bar (yep, want those) and the old light fixture (yep, can make a candle holder out of that glass shade). It has gotten kind of funny. At first they looked sort of askance at salvaging the things but now they've caught on. I haven't said anything about reusing the toilet as a planter just yet. Hilarious! Since I don't have anyone to help me with that project, I may just have to let it go. There is a limit. Blinking Crying

Hilarious! Yes, these fellas would do that, but I just don't think I can do all the drilling to make the drainage hole (no, toilets don't drain straight down). I've heard from others who have done it that it's quite a difficult thing to do. They destroyed several ceramic drill bits in the process.

Put a pot in it that has a drainhole and sits higher than the actual bowl drain.
