Well, I don't get much time to post on here anymore. Here are some seedlings growing under the lights. They started coming up at the beginning ofFebruary. The one out front is from the pod parent 'Ink Patterns'.

Hopefully our weather gets better so I can get them moved outside soon.

I like the yellow one best too. It is different shades of yellow. Linnea, the bees selected the parents. I have never made crosses but cant let a seed go unplanted. I have about 50 more baby irises and one more bloom to open. I don't think that it will be spectacular..... just an iris. smiles

Kind of interesting. It is a beige with a slight green cast and just looking at it I think it has a sooty interior. ??? Sibling to the other two posted.

It's green..... with a lavender beard. I cant get the color right on my photo. I took it with and without a flash. The one without a flash shows all greens in irises as tans. The second one with a flash is the closest in color but still not quite right. It was heavily overcast when I took these.

This is the closest in color.

Raining and thundering and wind buffeting about here now. Glad I took these when I did.

Thank you, Lucy. It has been storming most of the day. I have been hiding indoors and playing on the computer. So far the worst has gone just to the east or west of me so I only get a little of the fury....... so far. They do keep rumbling by.

I like that first picture best! Wish it looked like that. It's hard to believe it's the same bloom. Now we know why some pictures in the data base are so different. Also why we can't usually determine a cultivar by a picture.
