When we sold our house in Chicago, I did exactly that -- dug up all of my Irises, divided them in two, replanted half and took half with me. At the time, I was a Realtor. It just seemed like a fair thing to do.

As a seller, you would be entitled to exclude the Irises from the sale -- but it would need to be in the listing in advance.

I always put it in the contract that I got to move my iris . Four house sales over 45 years and I still enjoy most of my grandmother's

Now -- on the matter of that green grin -- I use it because I prefer the color green to yellow. For me, it doesn't signify anything at all except a grin. It never occurred to me that it might mean something different than the yellow grin. Particularly since the smiling/nodding face is also green.

I've never even noticed the yellow grin face before.

Stardust Dragon! Where did that one come from?

Now in the dance category I have Dancing Spree, Dragon Dance, and we all have to agree Footloose is a dance iris!

In the star category I do have Starship Enterprise, and Star In The Night too. Just ordered Moon and Stars. Not so many I guess.

I have Starship in that category.

Leslie, Stardust Dragon came from one of our club sales. It's another of those oddballs like Thornbird, that's hard to place in the garden. Shall I go check on its status and see if there's enough to share?
