needrain said:@Petruske Your message here if you insert spaces above the brackets (see below)
When you click on the quote for a new message, it puts the whole quote in a box and in brackets [ ] in the 'post a reply' part. Within those brackets you can cut or delete any part of the quote you don't want to use or you can leave it as is. Your message is typed outside of the brackets, either above by using the space bar to give room or after. Does this help? I had trouble with this also for a long time.
needrain said:It didn't come easy for me. I don't know why. I still don't know how to do multiple quotes involving more than one message like David and Mayo did in their posts.

I know there are loads more that I don't even know about.
needrain said:Do you need more than one tab open? When I select the quote option, it takes me immediately to the reply section and there is no means of selecting the quote on another post. Am I making any sense? This is truly 'muddy', I'm thinking .
DavidLMO said:Well Mayo I was just funnin with you. Seriously - you will have more questions. Feel free to ask. After 40 years of growing plants, I still have zillions of questions.
Just another point. Given your zone, I would think that it will not get brutally cold in your garage.
sooby said:Becky, daylily seeds are considered relatively short-lived but, as has been said, it depends also on how they are stored. For more info see this article on harvesting and storage of daylily seeds on the AHS site, click on the bottom of the three articles on this page:

That said, I've heard of people getting germination from daylily seeds that were fairly old so you've not much to lose by trying. You can test viability by dropping a few of the seeds into hydrogen peroxide:water at around 1:5 to 1:9 and leaving them at room temp but out of the sun for a couple of weeks or so in the solution.
