Kousa, You recently bought seeds from me on LA. I am Lighthousegal and I can assure you that my seeds are what they say they are. I have been growing daylilies for 20 plus years and hybridizing for about l0.

Oh Wow! Terry, that is a fantastic looking group of daylily seedlings. Can I ask what are the crosses for the first one of the first column and the last one of the second column? Love the contrast in colors between their watermarks and petal colors.

Thank You! Cindy! I am so glad I got some seeds from you. Love those crosses and can't wait to get them going. Yours was my first win on LA! Didn't know much of any sellers at the time so I just went with the crosses that appealed to me or seeds with parents that I was seeking. So relieved to know that they came from reputable sellers like you and Steve.

You don't have to pay a fortune to get good seeds and good results. I am sure the buyers would be happy if you pay a fortune Hilarious!

This is a 2015 registration of Indian Giver x seedling (Baby Blue Eyes x Substantial Evidence)

about 12 seedlings of this cross that are all great garden plants but this one with light blue eye and lacy white edge got attention from the first bloom

Steve mentioned knowing from first sight that it is special.
As a 2 year old seedling this plant was outstanding. 40 inch scape, 8 branches, 44 buds, and red with white hook teeth.

Who says I haven't? nodding

I am really taken by the color on the GREEN ARROW X IDA MAE NORRIS seedling. Not at all what I would have expected from that cross but amazing regardless.

Not what I expected either but Green Arrow is made from 2 red spiders.

This pic above does not really show the unusual orange red color that several people in our club just loved when they saw the bloom and it is very large and over 4' tall.

Oh! I have had very good luck with my LA seed wins! I've gotten some real beauties! Rich, Lighthousegal, JWWC, are just a few I've purchased from. (Though I have not grown out JWWC's seeds yet ... recently purchased!)

My avatar is from a seed cross of Dragonfly Dawn x Dragonfly Dawn. I have 4 siblings total of that cross. Used the pollen extensively this past season. Here is a pedigree chart of all 4 siblings. (Which most here on the forum have already seen.):

Thanks!

Mayo - I use Scrapbook Factory Deluxe version 5. I ordered it online and use this program all the time to make photo books and also used it to create several templates for Pedigree charts for my daylily seedlings of which I add the daylily photos and names.
http://www.novadevelopment.com...

Having a Pedigree Chart helps me see what is in the genetics of many of my daylilies for hybridizing. I got the idea from Maryott's (but even when inquiring, they would not tell me what program they use for their pedigree charts). I suspect that their pedigree charts are created from a program that someone designed especially for their company.

I crossed some of the siblings this past season and will be growing them out to see what genes show up. Big Grin Thumbs up

I have a "thing" for Dragonfly Dawn.
