My tall ones get knocked over, too, in our storms. Monsoon rains and near-hurricane force wind are not conducive to tall plants in the garden. Our storms are fierce, and being on top of this mini-mountain over the river doesn't help. We even have trouble keeping a roof and siding on the house.

Tomato cages work well around tall plants against wind...if you do not have a lot of plants to care for.

cages don't help much with these guys! Seems like right after they bloom we get a big storm with hard rain!
