I wonder what he thought when he even received one from Korea!

We put down the stepping stones last week. It turns out that we don't have enough - we need to make 12 or 13 more, so that we can have 3 full rows of stones. But I'm really happy with the way this pathway turned out, and we're already using it.

(Pardon the mess, this is a work in progress)

It's going to be great.
Will you have mulch, grass, plants or what around the walkway?

You can't see it in the photo, but the right side has hostas nearer the house and sedums in the sunny area. The plants are tiny but they'll fill out soon enough.

On the left side will be gardens covered with mulch, as usual. Smiling

They do - it gets used a lot.

To place them, I first dug down about 6 inches and then laid down pure sand. On the sand I then placed these stones, carefully placing them to be level all around. It feels like a real sturdy path now.

It's looking fabulous. I too love the pattern --- adds a real nice touch. This is cool b/c you can put the new baby's foot & hand prints in the stones you have to make yet. Hurray! Hurray!

Very cool walkway! As soon as I finish this &$@? Garden tour, I can send you enough glass to finish your project if you still are using glass. The hard part is washing all the sand off. It's probably 50% sand. Takes a while.

Sandi- we still have some! We've done so many variations of material that we have a lot left of everything. Thanks for your offer Lovey dubby

Initially we were going to replace our brick walkway that Dave put down a few years ago with these stones, but I'm glad we waited and are now using them here in the back.

Ann- you are right! It is nice that New Baby will get to be included in the pathway!
