I agree, I don't think there is such a thing as a Hurricane safe greenhouse....

Haha, I could design one! Expensive to build, though.

There have been so many storms to hit my little Island that we're almost accustomed to them.

Awwwwww...... what happened in the saga of "The tiny Plantlets"??? How did they do?? Blinking
I hate losing plants....I know they are "just plants" but when you nurse them along and baby them and get them to grow, bloom, and be pretty and they die....it's like losing a friend..... Crying

Sheesh, there were so many side comments and whatnot that the subject was totally lost.

Same thing happened on Cubits, I tried to have a thread about life on my little island, and away it went to everything else in the world.

I have so many plants now that I have no idea which ones these would be.

I really ought to write book, or maybe a booklet, and also a big book about these mysterious and wonderful plants.

This was an injury that had started looking like rot, but when I investigated, there was a ROOT growing!! Little white thing. I've air layered the limb, so maybe that'll work...

@coconut I didn't realize how old this post was (Aug 24, 2011) when I read it recently, I just remembered having seen the photo and wanted to ask about it.

This one has white leaves! Two others do too, but also look mottled, maybe will be varigated.

Over three years ago, but do you happen to remember what happened with the three white-leaved seedlings? The reason I'm asking is I just hatched one out myself from seed I got from ko_adenium:

This one has a bit of green in the one leaf, but the stem itself is white.

I was just curious as to what to expect.

Wellll, the only varigated plant I have now is a grafted one I bought a few years ago, so I guess those seedlings either perished, or just turned green. Keep a good eye on yours! It needs at least some green in most leaves to produce food, photosynthesis, you know.

I just shotgun-plant a hundred seeds at a time, so it gets difficult to follow just one. Once I get settled into a new home, in a year or so, I will have a greenhouse and orderly places for the mob of plants I've accumulated, and I'll keep better records! Boy, pollinating can have frightening results- Pods!
