Shape has got my excitement going. I knew my little moss garden would not go to waste.

My Man is facing the area 3 steps on the other side of the walkway. I think it will look good mirroring each other.

Shape - I am blown away! Is this a gift for your wife for Christmas? That is a work of art .... garden art that is totally stunning!

If by some slim chance she doesn't like it ..... I would certainly love to give it a spot in my yard! Whistling Thumbs up Thumbs up Hilarious! Hilarious!

Well, I almost hate to show my miniature garden creation. No comparison and I am out of your league, but .... I've got several miniature gardens I am planning to do after the holidays. This one I did over the weekend because I am giving my daughter's roommate the supplies to make one of these. I made one for myself to see how difficult it might be for her and what all would be needed. I plan to have her come over to my house to create hers as I have everything here. (She doesn't really do much gardening, but wanted a miniature live Fairy Garden for the back porch.) So .... here's my "modest" Fairy Garden:

I will say I had a lot of fun painting the house, designing the layout, and planting/placing everything. Each plant was up-potted into the next large (small) pots that are buried in the dirt in the metal tub. That way if something dies, I can just replace it. The succulents are planted in cactus soil, but the soil in the metal tub is not cactus soil, it is regular potting mix. So I am hoping that the different potting soil mixes will work best for each plant to keep them alive and healthy.

Becky I think it's beautiful, and the house is perfect..Never feel like your garden is not better than another..In the end we have accomplished the same thing...I would love to see all the gardens you make....And to answer your question. I have this deep compelling drive to continuously give to my wife...She has stuck with me through thick and thin and always loved me..We are high school sweet hearts and have been together now for 27 years..I'm building this garden as a thank you to her for all she has done..She does love the garden and cant wait tell spring to start planting....

That conservatory is going to be so sturdy that it will outlast you and your wife! I wished my home was built that well! Thumbs up Hilarious! Hilarious! Hilarious!

I am so impressed with the minute detail you are adding to this work of art! Where did you get the design idea from?

Oh cool! Is that photo from a museum?

To be honest, I like yours better. Yours is more colorful and elegant!

Too cool and very inspirational! I work with cement too and have done lots of little projects. Mostly pots but a few fairy garden fronts and fountains.
What a great project. It just makes me smile. Thanks so much for sharing.
If I ever make it to Texas I'll be by to check it out in person, LOL.

I never thought of making the mini garden a little bigger. Since we are having a heat wave for winter I hope I find some time to set up an area I had started right outside my back door.

If you make one too, please take pictures and share! This is all so fascinating. It wouldn't work well at my house, but I want to small-garden vicariously through you and Shape! Whistling
