Hubby bought me adenium seeds from Tillandsia at etsy and free shipping. We haven't bought any live plants online from them. Curious to see if my seedlings will bloom "double" or triple like they supposed to be. Hopefully I still have enough growing season to find out. I will give them weakly-weekly blooming food for 2 more weekends, to see if I can coax them to bloom.

Was last year. Ordered 3 Fancy Leaf Geraniums (including the old Mrs. Cox) They shipped sicky little cuttings with no roots, of course _none made it. Don't remember how much, but they were overpriced & felt $cammed. Grumbling

Did you call them to get a refund or at least a credit if they issued one? I understand sometimes plants die in shipping, the heat and jostling by shippers can't be controlled. It's even happened from one of my favorite places I've ordered from, White Flower Farm. They gave me a full refund for the entire order including shipping, even though I said 3 of the plants might recover with a bit of time (and they indeed recover for me).

But if they refused to give even a credit or reship new plants, that would be huge strike against it for me for any future orders.

Edit just to add that this is one reason I always use a credit card for online orders. That way if they refuse to do anything about the dead plants, I can initiate a complaint through my credit card company and get my money back that way.

Six years ago there were only 5 desert roses in my collection. Now I have way too many!

It takes a lot for hubby to get rattled on anything but hurricane season I could tell he was stressed out with my too many plants. Thank goodness we invested on the heavy pots and I kept my desert roses short so they were not too heavy and was able to withstand the wind gusts.

For a number of years I was afflicted with Plant Acquisition Syndrome. Fortunately I was able to shake it off.

I think I have reached my max, hurricane Ian is a wake up call. So I will just keep what I have, which is still a lot, and resist the urge to acquire more!

I can resist the urge to acquire more, almost always, but I'm helpless to stop propagating what I do have. I do compost a lot of extra stuff, but I can't NOT keep some of the best chunks that get cut off of potted plants so they don't get too big.

Question About yr Uncarina.. did you get it rooted or from seeds? I tried several times to root Uncarina sort of like Plumeria..and they rotted ev. time, even with callusing for a few days. Sighing!

I grew these Uncarina plants from seeds started near the beginning of the pandemic. Some of my pandemic babies 😂
