Surely a Solanaceae, and a very pretty one too, but the size, nor the colour, nor the shape of the flowers match Acnistus arborescens?

Oh I'm sorry, *Blush* I googled images and see there is the purple variety too!
The flowers on mine were spent so did't give the real shape with the flower petals gone, and do look much smaller for that reason Rolling my eyes.
That was a stupid mistake of me!

Maybe it is better if this thread is being deleted?

It looks like it could be Iochroma australe aka Acnistus australis. Also, someone may want to verify that name/synonym because both are currently in the database with their own entries. Smiling

It does look very much like Iochroma australis aka Acnistus australis Confused !
