@deejay49 - The Lupine came to me in a seed trade (maybe 2009 or 2010) marked as "pink shades." I've never asked for a species ID, though I should. They range from the palest, baby pink to a nice, rose pink and bicolors for good measure. All are harmonizing colors for a pastel landscape - not bold, saturated colors like 'Tutti Frutti.' The not-great photo I (hopefully) uploaded should give a general idea of what I mean.

Sorry to be redundant, but I am interrupting regularly scheduled programming to post this message on a couple of threads to make sure everyone sees it. I started a thread called It's About Time yesterday. It contains important information for the exact date and time of the start of the swap and how that first day or two happens. If you want to be at the opening gate to get special seeds everyone needs to know what is going on. Erica acknowledged reading it on the thread, but no one else has done that or asked any questions. That may mean everyone understands completely, but I did not the first time and I don't want anyone left out, so on Wednesday if I have not heard from everyone that you are up to speed I'm going to send that information to anyone I have not heard from by email to make sure it is seen. I will be posting more details about how you select what you want and how the swap moves forward from the first day or two until the end of active swapping and beyond.

Cute chick, Susie.

Mercy sakes! As host I was going to refrain from doing much wish listing, but I just gave the seed list a good going over and I was afraid my mouse would over heat from all that star-clicking. Rolling on the floor laughing Lovey dubby

781 wishes, how many seed packs have been listed?

I better start looking! I only have 18 on my wish list as of tonight....

Alana, you crazy lady...click, click, click! It's an illness.

I guess I'll be adding a small trade of RED TITHONIA{ I have to go find them}, it will be fun watching to see who scores them first!

I'll be scanning lists tomorrow so that number will go up a bit i'm sure.

The plants look quite a bit like weeds to me. I guess they are. Rolling on the floor laughing The leaves are hairy and the taller the plant gets (a couple of feet) the more scraggly it looks. I guess the fact that it was not particularly attractive is why the camera kept moving past it. The fruits are edible, but although I meant to try them I never got around to it. They kind of look like a golden orange version of a sour cherry.
I fancy collecting Solanums, but I have not learned much about this one yet.

Susie I've never heard of any being invasive other than maybe because some of the annuals being heavy self seeders. Confused
Not sure about your zone but many are very hardy.

deejay, here is a list of z5 hardy salvias.

http://www.fbts.com/zone-5-har...

Here are some first year blooming salvias

http://www.swallowtailgardense...

There are a ton of annual salvias that are pretty also. My favorite is coral nymph which is being offered in this swap by someone.

Hope this helps
