Our hummingbirds are back, along with Bullock's orioles and Western tanagers, which we feed with a half orange in a catfood can screwed to the railing.

Yesterday afternoon we had a wild thunderstorm with dime-size hail, hard on the wee birds I reckon.

Well, it quit raining here around 1:00 pm yesterday. No rain overnight. Evidently all the rain we were supposed to be getting we aren't going to. Something about all the warm gulf air making it rain down in Louisiana and not coming here.
Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow has not yet come. We have only today. Let us begin.

Storms went through last night, but we just got rain. And some areas are getting hit pretty hard. 5.5" in a little town north of Hot Springs on Monday. There are flood watch and warnings all over the place.
Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow has not yet come. We have only today. Let us begin.

This looks to be our last day of "comfortable" temps. Tomorrow, (Sunday) the 90's, and Summer will take over! Hubby and I are spending today in the yard! Getting the mowing and weeding done, (although it's never really done) for this upcoming HOT week... Sighing!
A/C time is fast approaching! UGH! I so enjoyed having windows open!

A little more humidity, but not bad, mostly cloudy, so that should keep the temps down. Summer is here now!

IT RAINED YESTERDAY! I got a solid half inch! That brings me to about an inch for the month...still insane, but I could put the hose away for at least a day. We might get some storms tomorrow, and if those brew well, I can keep the hose away. Supposed to get an actual deluge on Friday. We might finish the month only -2" after having no rain for the vast majority of it!

ETA: and it was the *perfect* rain. On and off for hours, never harder than moderate. It took several hours for a half inch to stack up. Plenty of time for it to absorb deeply into all the soil that badly needed it!

It's poured all night! I got up to a flood warning posted on my phone. I'm sure the ditch had over flowed and my yard looks like a swimming pool. Can hardly wait to see the local weather and find out how many inches we got over night.

Raining with storms this morning and again tonight. There has been rain in the general area for over 2 solid weeks although I've had quite a few small breaks and got outside to get stuff done.
