Daughter of Stars is gorgeous! I guess it is true, iris can't count. Shrug!
I guess their good looks make up for their lack of mathematical skills!
The banana coneflower is adorable! May everyone be blessed with a wonderful and safe weekend!

Daughter of Stars is an absolutely wonderful Iris -- and deserves a prominent spot in the Iris garden. I bought it sight-unseen at the PNW sale in 2012. I have been captivated ever since!! Lovey dubby Lovey dubby

Love Daughter of Stars with all those ruffled edges. I will have to think about adding it to my garden, what with Debra's pictures and Mary Ann's endorsement it looks and sounds like a winner.

Betty -- you definitely need to add her to your garden. I got D of S as a bonus several years ago -- and thought *big deal, another purple Iris*. But when she bloomed? Wow oh wow. I fell in love and never fell out. She is just...............*special*.

Still uncomfortably warm and humid today, but got a few potted Iris in the ground.

In the memory bed for my niece and my step-nephew:

In place of rotted Iris and/or relocated Daylilies:

Saperlipopette

Total Recall. Reblooming--yea!!! Only one standard instead of three, but I like seeing inside. Smiling

Had a brief thunderstorm at dawn, went out while still cloudy and got a few more Irises planted. Also pulled some Trailing Lavender Lantana that was trying to take over part of a bed and realized some of it had rooted, which came up when I pulled. Into a pot and the holding pen! Sun burned off the clouds by that time, but I feel content with what was accomplished today.

Song of Erin. Got this one for the name, but I am waiting for bloom to see if I will keep it. Photographs of it aren't all that attractive to me...now that I actually have the plant in hand. Whistling

Grand Canyon Gold. This one gives more four-fall blooms than most others. I know it is heresy to true Iris aficionados, but I like four fall blooms. Thumbs up Thumbs up The second image is from the hybridizer.

Lunar Frost. I am SO looking forward to seeing the blooms on this one!

Jump Start. This one was in a holding bed and not doing well at all. Thought I'd lost it, then found a nub with a tiny green tip this morning. Up it came and into a pot so I can watch over it.

Po No Mo. Put this one in the niece/step-nephew memory bed. Might have to move it after bloom once I see how tall it gets, here. Good spot for it now, though.

This heat and humidity is a kicker! You should feel good solid contentment with what you accomplished today! I hope we do not have one of those years where one day it is summer and by nightfall it is winter. The beauty of your irises is simply amazing! I am known to say I never met an iris I did not like. I am liking your yard! May this month see you smiling!
